Join the Milwaukee Public Library and Milwaukee Public Museum in celebrating the opening of the new Field Work MKE Poetry Path!

MPL and MPM, along with project Poet in Residence Alison Hawthorne Deming, designed a poetry path experience connecting our downtown Milwaukee locations to encourage participants to explore the world around them through science and poetry.

Mayor Tom Barrett will join the event, which will feature:
– A performance by The Figureheads, a family of musicians inspiring kids with award-winning hip hop music
– Interactive poetry-writing for all ages
– Poetry Path engagement stations
– Special poetry reading by Alison Hawthorne Deming
